In an effort to help restore our eroding coastlines, Dauterive Contractors formed Wetlands Restorations. We specialize in Marsh Grass plantings, build up low lying areas, canal bank repairs and erosion control structures.
We maintain a 40 acre wetlands nursery where we grow our own coatsl plants in house. We have performed and completed numerous planting jobs.
Our nursery contains plantings of the following:
Gulf Coast(spartina patens), Brazoria (paspalum vaginatum), Oyster Grass/Smooth Cordgrass (partina alterniflora), Bullrush, Bitter pancum, Giant Cutgrass, Sea Oats
For restoration purposes a license with the State Board of Contractors in Soil Stabilization and Habitat Enhancement is maintained.
The company can provide labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to restore wetlands. Several planting jobs have been completed by this company on privately owned property and parish, state and federal contracts.

We have used Christmas trees that have been discarded to help restore the coast.
